Social Structure had the most influence and impact on the Mesopotamian society. The reason social structure is the most important is because everyone had their own role and knew that others had their role so everything could be done. It made it so everything was in an orderly fashion. There was also a set of laws to keep everyone in check

If their role has a higher class they would be considered more important and their job would be more major and considerably a more important role. If they had a lower social standing they still had a job but they had different tasks involving possibly more work. This made people understand what to do and when.

If you had high power yor punishment was less and low power you punishment was more. This helps keep people in check because they were all punished if they did something wrong. It made sure everyone and everything ran smoothly and people knew what to do and what not to do.

Letting men and women have the ability to do the same thing create less tension in Babylon because anyone could do the same thing. This was a very important part of social structure. If everyone was happy with each other and wanted to be around each other more work could be done.

Someone may think that social structure is the least relevant because people are considered less valuable and have to do extra stuff but get less reward than people with a higher social class. In the text it says “ While the Code of Hammurabi was supposed to make society more fair and just, it ultimately created more inequity. It clearly favored men and the upper class. “ This is showing that they were trying to make things better and run smoother but it made people start to separate and caused people to be in more inequality. This also created men to be considered more powerful than make all things less fair.
