This symbolises the subject of idealism, where in her world everything is perfect.This all changes, however, when she comes across the corpse in the woods, and even though Myop is too innocent to fully grasp the severity of the situation, the tone of the story turns into frayed and frazzled, to show the realism of the man´s death.
