Government safety nets are a collection of services provided by the province. It includes welfare, universal healthcare, unemployment benefits, homeless shelters and occansionally subsidized services. All this is done to reduce or eliminate poverty in certain areas.

Social safety nets substantially reduce poverty and lift thousands of families out of the poverty net and to the standard living line. However, the effectiveness against deeper poverty is not as strong as it could be. Anti-poverty effects and reductions in food-stamp effectiveness and distribution have declined in the rate of lifting deep poverty children.

As the safety net for the poorest families has weakened, more and more families are finding themselves miles below the standard living line. So, safety nets help the poor, but not the really poor.

Government safety nets in Canada are things that help people provided by the government. Things that that government give to the people include welfare, homeless shelters, free health care, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters. They do this to kill poverty and to make the country a better place.

Safety nets help the country because it is eliminating poverty and help homeless and the less fortunate people who do not have a lot or anything at all. Obviously it is not gonna help every single person out of every situation as some poverty is way different and deeper than others. These safety nets are a great thing but they need to be improved so that not only are they helping the poor they are helping the people who have nothing and are left to die, the poorer than poor.

The Government creates safety nets in order to better our society. Things such as healthcare ensure that all citizens are protected and aren't having to spend large amounts of money should they get sick. There is also welfare should you be unable to work for any reason, and unemployment for those who have been laid off from their job.

These safety nets are meant to help prevent poverty and better our society. However the safety nets also help the government. In having things like unemployment, it allows people time to find work instead of completely fall off the wagon. When more people have work the government gets more taxes. Same goes with healthcare, the healthier people are the more people can work.

In conclusion, although these nets help prevent poverty and help the people, they also are to help keep the economy running, and keep taxes coming.

In Canada, the government offers “safety nets” which, are services provided for civilians, that the market does not provide. These include healthcare, welfare, unemployment benefits, and homeless shelter. These “safety nets” and provided to Canadians to protect them from poverty and is there to help people when they need it the most.

I believe that these “safety nets” are effective and essential living in Canada. We as Canadians are extremely lucky to have a government that prove these “safety nets” for us. It decreases the poverty in Canada and acts as a literal safety net or plan b for civilians. I do believe that there could always be room for improvement, buy increasing the amount of homeless shelters to ensure everyone has somewhere to sleep at night and proving help to those who are unemployed to get back on their feet. Overall, I believe that Canada’s “safety net” system is an essential security for our country.

I think the safety nets are effective but they could be more effective because if we have shelters for the homeless and welfare programs why are there still people who are sleeping on the street and need to beg for the basic human needs. Yes these safety nets are helping out with most of the problems but not all of them.

Government Safety Nets are services that are provided to society from the government itself. These are available to us whenever we feel that it is most needed in our lives. Some of these Safety Nets include healthcare, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, welfare benefits, and unemployment benefits. The purpose of having these services is to ensure that the poor people are being taken care of. These services ensure that the unfortunate people are in good health and safety.

I personally feel that these services are essential to us, especially during Christmas time, because it brings people together to show that people care for others' well being. For instance, soup kitchens are provided to the homeless people so that they are provided with food to maintain their life. This shows that the government and community cares about those who are unable to handle their life and get a job. I feel that us Canadian citizens should not take these services for granted because before you know it, these will no longer be provided to us, and we would have wished that we were apart of those services to help people in need.

In Canada, the Canadian government has put several types of "safety nets" in place for it's citizens. Some of these safety nets are: affordable housing, free healthcare, unemployment, and welfare. These safety nets are put in place to ensure Canadians are not left without money, jobs, and/or homes.
In my opinion, these safety nets are effective in helping Canadians. Without unemployment, for example, many Canadians who have unfortunately been laid off would be stuck with no source of income. With unemployment benefits however, this gives people who have been laid off financial aid in order for them to get back on their feet again. Welfare aids Canadians who do not make enough income to support themselves in a healthy manner, meaning they cannot afford a suitable place to live or food. Without this, many Canadians would be reduced to homelessness. Affordable housing goes along with this in the way that without it, many people could not afford a home and therefore have to live on the streets. All of these aid in keeping people off the streets and out of poverty.
Free healthcare ensures that despite not making a large income, all Canadians have the right to a fair healthcare system where they will not be discriminated against for their low earnings. It ensures that all Canadians can access the help they need no matter their financial situation.
I believe that the safety nets put in place by the government of Canada are necessary in keeping the amount of people in Canada who can be classified as in poverty down. These safety nets are effective in their job and needed.

Government "safety nets" are a multitude of services created by the government to aid society. Many of these services prevent citizens from reaching a state of poverty or unsuitable living, as they provide financial aid or shelters for those of low income. Services including welfare, unemployment benefit, healthcare and homeless shelters. These services act as stabilization mechanisms for those in financial drought.
I believe that "safety nets" in Canada are beneficial and necessary. Without this governmental aid, families living below the standard income rate would fall into poverty. "Safety nets" act as a system to escape a life of poverty and to live within the standard way of life, as most Canadians already do. Many situations in life are uncalled for. For example, accidents, traumatic stress, or mental disabilities. Such factors have an influence on many employees in Canada, risking the state of unemployment. With governmental aid, these citizens do not have to worry about a life with "no income", as the unemployment benefits Canada offers are enough to put someone "back on their feet". This is only a single example of the benefits towards "safety nets" within our country. Overall, Canada is lucky to have such beneficial services, and I think they are very effective.
