The search for the answers behind all those paper clothes, facades or in other words the real identity of someone. The novel truly lifts up the problem of how easy it is to change the identity of yourself to the outside world with just a change of outfit. I think this is the true meaning of the novel and is the eye opener to the big problem of our society today where being fake is acceptable and fitting in at all costs is important.
