If you like epic books, I would recommend this. My first reason is simple, just the first part. The first part is when Szeth kills King Gavilar. It was an epic battle. It was very unfair for Szeth. First Gavilar had a Shardplate. They both had Shardblades. Szeth cracked Gavilars Shardplate by hitting it two times. Then when Gavilar was weak Szeth struck and killed Gavilar. He was now known as the Assassin in White. My second reason is Dalinar. He was Gavilars brother and was enraged at his brother's death. He was the one who declared war on the Parshendi, the Assasin in White's master. He has seen strange visions, he thinks they are from the Almighty or a supernatural being. He made a vow to protect his nephew Elhokar. Those are my reasons for reading this book.
