Science is a challenging subject for me, and my goal this year is to achieve an S, since I didn’t reach that level last year. In the first term, I was very close, so I’m determined to improve. To do this, I plan to revise more effectively and use better techniques, like focusing on key concepts and practicing past papers. By applying these strategies, I hope to reach my goal and perform better next term.

I find math both tricky and fun because we cover a mix of challenging and easier topics. One of the activities I enjoy is the Sheriff game, where we’re given a tricky question, and the first person to solve it wins. It makes learning more exciting. The topics I find most difficult are factorising and expanding quadratics, but I'm working on improving in those areas. Every week, we have Sparx homework, and I make sure to complete it on time, which helps me stay on track

I really enjoy German because it’s so interesting. I’ve learned a lot of new words, and I was proud to get an excellent score on my listening and reading tests. Recently, we’ve been studying cinema and learning about different types of movies, which has been a fun way to expand my vocabulary and understanding of the language

i really enjoy English because we learn about goddesses, and I find the lessons fascinating. We have a book all about the different goddesses, and I love reading about them in class. My goal for English this year is to achieve an M, as I earned an S+ last term. One highlight was when the teacher chose my description of Medusa to go on the board, which was a great achievement. At the start of each lesson, we also have time to read our own books, which I really enjoy as it helps me relax and get into the right mindset for learning.

I find geography really interesting, especially because we've been learning about biomes like the rainforest, and now we’re starting to explore Africa. This term, I earned an S, and my goal for next term is to achieve an S+. One of the highlights was our group presentation on biomes, where we chose to research the desert. I think we did really well, and it was a great way to apply what we've learned.

I play tennis at school, and the people I’m with are very competitive, which makes the matches both more challenging and fun. The added competition pushes me to improve my skills. I also play tennis outside of school with my friends, and I really enjoy it’s a great way to stay active and have fun.

class charts

I earned 40 class charts in the first term, and my goal is to reach 100 next term. Most of my class charts were awarded for demonstrating my WIS way fortitude. However, I did receive 2 negative class charts for not following the one-way system and forgetting to bring a ruler to class. Next time, I’ll make sure to bring my ruler and follow the one-way system to avoid any mistakes.

I do very well in computer science, and this term I earned an M. My goal for next term is to maintain that level of achievement. In class, we play Gim Kits, which are games with computer science questions. I find them both challenging and fun

In Year 8, i do excellent in both classes and sports. I consistently achieved high marks and stayed organized with my work. On the sports field, I showed skill and teamwork, contributing to my teams success in activities like netball and tennis . My dedication and positive attitude helped me stand out in both areas.

I’ve been reading Coraline, and I find it incredibly interesting because of how creative and captivating the story is. It’s never boring, and I could easily read it all day. I would rate it 9/10 it’s definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read. The unique plot and imaginative world make it a truly unforgettable read.

In Arabic, I've been learning a song about jobs, which I've been practicing to sing by heart. Although I find Arabic challenging, I always give my best effort to improve. Despite the difficulties, I stay determined and keep working hard to understand the language and make progress.

I really enjoy food tech because I love trying new recipes and cooking meals I’ve never made before. However, I know I need to improve my cleaning skills, as I can sometimes be a bit messy. On the bright side, I’m good at making sure my food is cooked just right—not undercooked or overcooked. For example, when we baked cookies, mine turned out perfectly golden brown with the ideal texture, and I was really proud of them!

PE

In PE, we’ve been playing rugby, and I find it both fun and challenging. The game requires us to try and cross to the opposite side without getting tagged, which really tests my speed, strategy, and teamwork. It’s a great way to push myself while enjoying the game!
