I have never learnt/thought about "snack" writing approach. Writing has always been writing long things. Learning that I am on the right path made me feel more emancipated. On the other hand, I also have remembered something that I had forgetten long ago: speaking activities involves lots of active thinking. This helped me a lot to change my perspective. I am also planning to share this with my students. Because when they know how they learn and why it is important to learn in this way raises their motivation.

I realized if we keep the pre-reading task longer, our learners may start to lose their interest.
In the afternoon session, adapting the text book activity, I have lost all my sceptism about flipped learning. We do not need to apply it all the time. However, we can use it. 
I also had concerns about my students would not read it at home. IF they do not want to read, they don't read it in classroom either. So, we may try it.

I find it quite difficult to find a balance between accuracy and fluency. Whenever I want to encourage my students and focus on fluency, I feel like I am sacrificing accuracy. In this session, I realized what I am doing wrong. I need to give them more controlled practice activities then move on to the freer ones. I think that's a skill that we lack in our culture. In that sense, trying to train students about self-assessment may have bigger implications in their future and maybe personal lives. 
Traffic light system is something that I can use my English and other classes. The learning diary can be useful but not in our context.
