2. The world is constantly changing...from in the classroom (Angel to BBL) to finance (stock market, insurance, pension, etc) we have to be ready to change with it and if we don't learn and understand, we can only hope someone else will save us.  :)
3. Learning is much more personalized; much more non-fiction text than fiction; make connections more now between texts.

3. Students have the web at their fingertips. Students can just type what they want to know. Don't have to store trivial minutiae. We used to use pencil, paper and Textbooks! Now students make their own textbooks!Applying for college totally digital! Be critical about their resources, what is useful! Be a good citizen on web and social media!

2. Inventories, lists, data collecting, scheduling for your family (kids sports, school events, work events, family events) due to more opportunities to participate in activities. Resumes and college essays are more demanding and competitive. 
3. Access to technology is a major change. Students have immediate access to a vast amount of information. Delivery of instruction, teachers facilitate more now. 
4. To be competitive in society. Most businesses are going "digital".
