I am Leah Robinson. I was born in Seattle and was born into a supportive, loving family which consists of my mom, Dad and Brother Logan who's 2 years older than me. I am American and European. My paternal grandpa was born in Calabria, Italy which makes me about 25% Italian. Though I do not live near my Italian family, all the typical Italian morals play a big part in my family and my day-to-day life. Both of my parents are from New York and that is where most of my dad’s family lives now. My maternal grandparents and uncle live in Seattle, so I have grown up with them all very closely in my life.  

I have always lived in Seattle except for when I moved to New York for one year when I was in 4th grade. New York is a big part of who I am. Not only did I live there, have tons of family there but I also have a lake house that I have been going to since I was 2 months old. I hold lots of special memories from the many places I have been to in New York and the many things I have done.  

Some words I would use to describe myself are compassionate, mature, and lighthearted. I have a big heart for helping people and am always thinking of ways I can make people's lives better and help them out. I think most people who know me would agree that I am very mature. I have always been very self-sufficient and grown-up babysitting kids so that has definitely made me more mature. Not am I only mature in that sense, I believe I have a very well understanding of myself and others around me which makes it so I can see things in a clearer, more mature way than most people my age. Although I have high expectations for myself, I try to stay lighthearted and happy. I understand that there are many negative things going on in this world and people's lives, so instead I try not to contribute to that and I really try to be a positive person for myself but also other people around me. 

I have one older brother to which I make him his sister. Although “sister” is just a simple word to many people is an important word to me. Being my brother's sister means always being there for him and supporting him no matter what. We have a very close bond and I take lots of pride in being his sister.  

Another very important group I am apart of is the main family, the Raiti’s whom I babysit for. Although I just started off as “The Babysitter” I think the Raiti’s and myself would now consider myself much more than that. I would consider the parents and the 2 kids, Natalia and Sebastian a huge part of my community and family.  

I am also a part of the Ballard Highschool community. School is more than just a place where I learn facts about history and how to solve math equations. It involves a big community that includes all my friends and supportive teachers leading me to be the best person I can be.  

Each community that I am apart of is slightly different but they all make me who I am today. 

In 10 years, I will be finished with high school and collage but may still be in school getting some sort of degree. I would ideally like to be doing something in business and will have graduated from a 4-year college. It would be amazing if my brother and I had our real estate company open in 10 years. We are both very passionate and sure that will happen.  

I will probably either live in Seattle or New York City. Most likely with a husband and at least 1 kid. I will probably have many different and new friends than I have now, but I hope some of the friends I have been really close with now will still be in my life in 10 years. I am sure they will be.  

I believe parts of my identity will stay the same and other parts will change. Things like my gender, culture and most morals will stay the same. My age will obviously be much different which means I will have different interests than I do now. I don’t know exactly what my interests will be but if I have a family of my own, I will definitely enjoy spending time with them. I will still stay well in contact with my family who raised me and will hopefully still see them very often.
