The certificate does not state the BRN number, which is required when I submit the hours for license renewal. Is this not approved by the CA BRN for CE credit?

One of the lessons learned was to have a unique identifier for the participants, which would have helped me match the responses from time 1 to time 2. I could only compare the means of the two groups.

I did ask how frequently the staff engaged in the mindfulness techniques per each shift. The responses available: None, 1-2 times, 3-4 times, 5 or more. Of the 12 respondents 9 responded: 1-2 times per shift and 3 responded 3-4 times per shift. 

I did not ask which part of the program was most meaningful, however form direct communication the Mindfulness Rocks were the most talked about. The fact that the staff were still talking about the Mindfulness Rocks after the program ended, may be a sign that the Mindfulness Rocks were most meaningful. 

With the help of a friend Pam, we created all 200+ rocks. On the back of the rock we wrote “Mindfulness 2021” to remind the staff the purpose of the rocks. I have had suggestions that there could be a time where the staff created their own Mindfulness Rock. This is something that I am working on now, preparing the rocks and providing a workshop with rocks, examples, and paint.

I am in the process to patent the idea of Mindfulness Rocks, as well as publishing the results.

And, although both careers allow you to work autonomously, PAs are required to have an agreement to work with/under a physician, whereas in some states NPs have the ability to practice independently, allowing them more freedom and flexibility in their careers.

Primarily, NPs adhere to a nursing, patient-focused model, whereas PAs follow a disease-centered (medical) model of practice.

PAs use the medical model and they tend to have a lot more of a science background, NPs use a nursing traditional model where we see the patient holistically and use a wellness approach to care for the whole person.
