Hello, everyone! I am Teacher Bern from Advance Casa Preschool. I want to share some of my experiences being a newbie in the field. Being an Early Childhood educator is not that easy, its very challenging. But, having a passion for teaching kids, especially those in their early childhood years, I know that i will do everything to touch not only the minds of the learners but also their hearts. On my first day of teaching, in the free trial class, i really felt so overwhelmed, honestly i did not know what to do first. There's a learner who had been so attach to his parent and he never wanted to go inside our classroom. After having some conversations with him, his mother left, and at first he was just observing the classroom, but after several minutes, he was playing and he adjusted a little to the new environment he was in. He never wants to talk to us, or any of us, he just play on his own, he never participated that day. On the second day of the free trial, he was easily left by his mother, though he never talked to us on the first day, the second day was a bit different, he talked a little to us. He came closer to us, he allowed us to talk to him and he already answering but just a little. on the third day of the free trial, this learner was better than those two days, he talked to us, play with other learners, having interaction with each of us in the classroom, and though, he never joined us in the preliminaries and discussion, whenever we asked him a question he answered us and the good thing also was he also made activities. It means that though he was not paying attention. His ears was listening to us. His mind absorbed the things that was happening to his environment. I only shared my experience with one particular learner. But to wrap it up, I can say that those experiences in the free trial will teach us to become a better educator someday.
