Type 2 Diabetes ( Siani, Kayla,Naia, Rebecca, Shanay) I like to read this pallet because I have family members who have this disease, and this helps me understand better medical conditions, treatment, and the process the person with diabetes needs to learn to keep a healthy life. Daily exercise, eating healthy, and decreasing sugar, fat, and carbohydrates help decrease sugar levels in the bloodstream. I agree that people with less income are more prone to develop diabetes because fruit, vegetables, and organic food are expensive, and fast food is more accessible to them. The padlet was good. I learned about treatment, resources, and most risk factors. They are a good job!!

I have seen kids who have diabetes but that may be type 1.

I enjoy the power point because it was well Organized and the images were great for the topic.

It's critical that people with type two diabetes take care of their emotional and physical health issues. The presentation was very organized verry good job.

(Siana, Kayala, Naia,Rebecca,Shanay)

I found this padlet really interested to learn about because diabetes runs in my family. In this padlet I learned that the symptoms of diabetes can be symptoms that any person can have even someone who doesn’t have diabetes, but for it to be diagnosed you would have to take a blood test given by a doctor that measures blood sugar levels. I’ve learned that to prevent diabetes, you’d have to maintain a healthy diet, quit smoking, exercise, and manage stress. Those who are most at risk of diabetes are ages 45+, those who are diagnosed with pre-diabetes, obesity, family history, and a non active person. This presentation was well explained and well put together and I learned a lot about diabetes from looking over this presentation. It was very detailed and answered all of the questions I had regarding diabetes

Diabetes Type 2 - Siani Wilson, Kayla Gerald, Naia James, Rebecca Murray, Shanay-Lee Jerry

Things learned: I learned that type 2 diabetes is reversible, unlike type 1. Diabetes type 2 is usually caused by being overweight and being middle aged, and it is important to make sure you are eating healthy and getting exercise daily, even if it is just for a short period of time. Changes in diet and lifestyle plans are crucial for preventing type 2 diabetes. Diabetes can cause nerve, kidney, and blood vessel damage long term. Diabetes also affects mental health and increases the risk for depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

Feedback: The slides look very uniform and organized, as they all have similar designs and patterns. I like the use of statistics presented to support information (like what groups were most at risk). I also like that resources for help were included, as you never know who may need it.

I know a lot about this disease. Things that stood out to me were the fact that people who are obese are the ones that are most at risk. One of the preventions that they mention is healthy weight. Which I am working on my weight. As well, if your parent has diabetes, there is a very good chance that you will contract the disease. Blood sugar monitoring is important because if it's too high, you can end up in a coma.

Your content was relevant, and your format was visually appealing and easy to follow and understand.
