We chose this tree because it is the biggest tree in the Savannah and can be found almost anywhere. This tree is so evolved that it can develop roots that are 9 ft. long. It's trunk can also hold up to 40 gallons of water which explains why it can be found practically anywhere in the Savannah. Also, the diameter of the top of the tree, which is where we would stay, can reach 54 feet and the height of the tree can reach to ans exceed 100 feet, which is more than enough room!

We will use the elephant grass to make a rope to reach the top and get back down as well as to make the floor more comfortable. We will cut the grass with the machete and tie the grass together to make the rope.

We will use the thorn bush's branches to cover the base of the tree and the sides of the trunk so that no animals or predators can reach us. We will cut the branches with the machete.
