         <title>Health Care Coverage Increase</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>District has agreed to pay 80% of healthcare costs annually plus 80% of any increases up to 4%.&nbsp; For 2023, there will be a 6.6% increase.&nbsp; We are asking the district to ALSO pay 80% of the 2.6% increase above the 4%.&nbsp; They have paid this amount for the past two years, and we want them to continue to.<br><br>Reasons:<br>1-They've already been doing it<br>2-They have $129 Million left over from last year<br>3-We want to attract and retain quality teachers<br>4-San Ramon has uncapped the number of salary years they will pay for when transferring from another district.<br>5-San Ramon pays healthcare costs 100%<br>6-San Ramon has a class size of 24:1</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-She's been a Concord resident for 25 years<br>-She has been very involved with Holbrook, fought to keep it open.&nbsp; When it closed, she worked with Cheryl Hanson, Board Member, to get it reopened.<br>-She has a lot of connections to corporations that give her $.&nbsp; She would like to ask for money for the entire district to provide the technology and other upgrades she has been able to get for Holbrook.<br>-She has brought in $40K to Holbrook over the last 6 years.<br>-She speaks her mind and will not let Dr. Clark push her around.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Elections: Here's how to vote:<br><br>YES On Prop 1: Reproductive Freedom<br>We want to ensure that abortion rights become a part of our California constitution so that they cannot be taken away in the future.<br><br>YES on Prop 28: Art &amp; Music in Schools<br>-Allows for nearly $1 billion from the General fund to go towards art and music education in PK-12 public schools WITHOUT raising taxes.<br><br>YES on Prop 31: Stop Big Tobacco Referendum<br>-Tobacco companies are trying to reverse the current law which bans the sale of flavored tabacco products and marketing to teens.&nbsp; This proposition supports the referendum to keep the current law the way that it is. &nbsp;<br><br>NO on Prop 27: Online &amp; Mobile Sports Betting<br>Legalizes online and mobile sports betting in California.&nbsp; This would take 90% of the profits out of state and not a single penny would be directed to our state's public schools.<br><br>NO on Prop 30: Clean Cars &amp; Air Act<br>Increases income to taxes for Lyft to basically get taxpayers to fund improvements in their fleet to zero emission vehicles.  And, the tax increase sidesteps current law that requires 1/2 of new revenues to go to public education.</div>]]></description>
