This hour is a time to get together with friends, enjoy each other’s company, look at passages in the Bible and consider what relevance they have for us today. We would love to invite you to join with us one evening. Our Bible studies are designed to be welcoming, interactive, enjoyable and purposeful. We hope that you will join us, whether you are a Christian looking to meet other Christians or someone with no interest in Christianity whatsoever. You are all welcome!

Our meetings will be held online for at least the first half of Trinity Term. Our call will be held on Google Meet, therefore you will need to sign into/ quickly create a Google account.

Just a quick hello to introduce ourselves, Matthew King and myself, as your new Jesus CU Reps!! Although we are still online for, at least, the beginning of Trinity we are really excited for the next three terms to get to know you all a little better and spend time looking at the Word of God together.

I’m a first year studying law. I’m currently at home in North Wales, and aside from reading tedious legal cases I enjoy photography, videography and politics. Matt is also a first year, studying physics. He is currently at home in Derby, looking forward to the day when we can all return to Oxford. He enjoys playing guitar and gaming in his free time.

Each Wednesday during term time (Week 1-Week 8 ) we will be holding a Bible Study from 8 - 9pm. You are all welcome to come along, and why not invite a friend? For at least the first half of Trinity this will continue to be held online, however, we really hope that as the term goes on we will be able to meet for studies, events and socials in person. The topic and passage of each study will be posted on our Link Tree the day before.

Tomorrow evening is OICCU Central, and excitingly it is in person too! If you are interested in going it will begin at 7:30pm at Oxford Community Church. Known Event, Wednesday 5th May, 8pm
Next week is events week and OICCU have lots of events planned. Instead of holding our usual Wednesday evening Bible Study we plan to attend the Wednesday evening event at St Ebbes. The topic will be “Freed - Imagine A World Where No One Was Afraid.” It will be 8:00-9:00pm (doors open at 7:45pm).

New to Oxford? You are warmly invited to come along for a FREE three course dinner hosted by the Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union (OICCU). There'll be some quality food as well as some live music and a short talk on the theme of boldness at Uni. It’s a great way to meet other freshers and more people from your college!

Where to meet? What time?
We will walk to the banquet venue together. If you are a fresher and would like to come there is no need to sign up! Just meet Matt outside the Ship Street Gates at 6:15pm tonight.

2. Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union Centrals

Jesus College Christian Union meets up with the other college Christian Unions fortnightly. Gathering in community as a whole with great teaching, worship and a chance to meet and chat to others.

Week? - Week 1, 3, 5, 7
When? - Wednesdays 7.30pm
Where? - Meet 7.15pm outside Ship Street Gates

3. Jesus College Christian Union Meetings

When ‘Central’ isn’t meeting, we meet as a college Christian Union in the wonderful Jesus College chapel. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other better, look at the Bible in a smaller group and enjoy time together. Attending a meeting is totally free, you do not need to be a Christian and we would be delighted to welcome you.
