Egypt's climate is considered to be extreme. Its hot, because of it being mostly dessert and having little precipation. Humidity is high. The Eastern Desert is a region that stretches over one fourth of the total country. According to Worldatlas, "The latter is a prominent feature of Egypt’s Eastern Desert region and consists of rugged and arid, volcanic mountains running in the north to south direction. The 7,175 ft tall Mount Shāʾib al-Banāt is the tallest peak in the region. Several wadis also dissect these mountain chains. Although the Eastern Desert of Egypt is quite inhospitable because of its rugged terrain and lack of water resources, it is rich in natural resources like oil, gold, uranium, asbestos, phosphate, manganese, etc. The only sedentary settlements in this natural region are found to the east of the Red Sea Hills along the coast of the Red Sea. The most important economic activities of the people here are fishing, oil extraction, and mining. Nomadic herders and traders are found in the rest of the desert area." This region affects the country in that, it's a huge role in Egypt's economic status, as lot's of oils are farmed here. The next region is Egypt's Western Desert, which stretches over two thirds of Egypt. Its more of a plateau, with three main depressions, one being uninhabitable. Then it's the Nile river and delta region. This region is defined by the website, "The Nile delta, one of the major deltas of the world, occupies an area of 25,000 square km and stretches for a distance of about 160 km from Cairo to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The coastline of the delta extends from Port Said to Alexandria for 240 km. Two major branches of the Nile, the Rosetta and the Damietta Branch flow through the delta. The terrain of the delta is primarily flat but crisscrossed by several drainage channels and canals. Several brackish lagoons form on the coast of the delta." Then there's the Sinai Peninsula. "The Sinai Peninsula, an important feature of the geography of Egypt, is a wedge-shaped section of land between the Mediterranean Sea in the north and the Gulf of Suez in the south. The peninsula has a highly varied landscape from north to south. The southern part of the Sinai Peninsula features rugged mountains including the tallest mountain of Egypt, the 8,668 ft tall Mount Catherine. The central area of the peninsula has two plateaus, namely, the Al-ʿAjmah and the Al-Tīh. Towards the northern slopes of these plateaus are dome-shaped hills that give way to a series of parallel sand dunes, some of which are over 300 ft in elevation. The Mediterranean coast of the Sinai Peninsula features the Lake Bardawīl, a large salt lagoon."

http://www.dw.com/en/egypt-the-amazing-forest-in-the-desert/av-17233507?scrlybrkr=008c039a

Plate tectonics helped form a very oil rich land. The country sits in the African Plate Boundary. According to This Is Egypt, People there often get freshwater from The Nile. Also Oil is a huge natural resource for Egyptians. They also have deposits of petroleum, natural gas, iron ore, phosphates, manganese, limestone, gypsum, talc, asbestos, lead, and zinc. The plate movement helped cause more fossil fuels to be made and found, along with the formation of the nile and its delta. Also according to the weebly, the main way the environment has been impacted by humans is from urbanization, which is causing raw sewage waste and water pollution, which hits hard on Egypt's only water source, The Nile. Another thing is the amount of people the Nile currently has to support.
Below is a picture of the Nile
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Z6dHWJD00

Social Organization: There is a divide between being Egyptian or being Arab. Those people believe one is more important to the other and generally align themselves to that. There is also a very large gap between wealthy and poor. In Countries and Their Cultures, it goes more in depth on this, saying "The culture also encourages deference of the weak, poor, or subaltern to the rich and powerful, in terms of speech, posture, and acquiescence. The differences among individuals and families in Egypt can be represented by income level or source of income. They can also be represented in choices of consumption style—housing, transport, dress, language, education, music, and the like. Marriage negotiations bring all these differences of taste and income to the forefront. What is less evident in Egypt is a strong class consciousness that might turn potential classes into real ones.
customs/traditions: In Egypt, it is a customary for woman to go to the markets and work on trading. Men stay home and weave. However, woman do not hold priest like positions, explains Livius.Org. During mourning processes they let their hair grow out instead of shaving it.
Arts and Literature: Most Egyptians after their country was declared indepedent, used art as a way to express themselves. in the 20th century, according to The Met on Modern Egyptian Art, Modern Egyptian art is heavily influenced and centered around film. The art scene is still changing being influenced by political climates and and social constrictions. In the field of literature, Egypt is the largest Arabic speaking nation in the world. Poetry there is a very popular and consistent source of reading and writing, more so than here in America. The past of Egypt also plays a role, along with religion. This was found in Words Without Borders, Literature in Egypt Today.
Religion: In Egypt religion is the cause of some conflict. Egypt is 10% Christian, most of whom belong to Coptic Orthodox Church, which according to Religion and Faith in Modern Cairo was the dominant religion in Egypt before Islam. In Egypt today, Islam is the dominant religion, with 86.8%.
Government: Egyptian politics are based on republicanism, where they have a "semi-presidential system" According to Wikipedia, "The President is elected for two four-year terms and the Parliament is unicameral. The President can appoint up to 5% of the total number of seats in Parliament, and can also dissolve it. Parliament can also impeach the President."
Economy: Today, the Egyptian economy is capitalist and handled by firms. Their currency is the Egyptian Pound, and their GDP growth rate is 4.3% according to World Bank

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAENGtb_7yA

The Egyptian Flag

The people of Egypt use their environment to mine for oils and minerals. With the things they mine they both use and trade. They also create jobs around their environment, being farming jobs. With these jobs they also create new technology to use. Egypt's mining does impact the environment. it helps further along global warming, and they're using sources that cannot be, or will take millions of years to replace. That in turn will definitely impact the country as a whole, because it relies so heavily on mining for things like petrolium, or gold. Uses images, video, and descriptions to showcase the information.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-14/eni-s-giant-gas-field-prompts-egypt-to-end-lng-imports-in-2018

The land also impacted the people, from their skin colors to the clothes they make and the foods they grow.

According to Natalia Chelsey, "The Nile is one of the most popular physical features in Egypt. It provides the land with fertile soil that is perfect for crops and water for the people in Egypt. It is also the longest river on Earth. It also provides transportation, even though since airway and much more has been developed, people haven't depended on waterway travel as much. Egypt also contains multiple deserts such as the Eastern and the Western, which is also known as the Libyan Desert. The Libyan Desert is around two-thirds of Egypt's land, covering 700,000 kilometers. The Eastern Desert mostly contains mountains and is much smaller than the Libyan Desert." The nile and the delta go through a large part of the country. the country is also mostly desert. However it is not land locked. to the northeast of Egypt is the red sea. The red sea is largely credited to be the saltiest in the world. to the north is the mediterranean sea, which is salty, but when evaported can be used for freshwater. In Egypt, theres also many large ancient sites along the delta and the nile.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZbDJMuc6ks

According to Françoise De Bel-Air,
Outward Migration (Emigration): "As of late 2013, an estimated 4.3 million Egyptians were living abroad. The vast majority of Egyptian expatriates resided in Arab countries (86 percent), many in Saudi Arabia (around 1.3
million). Despite the political instability in the country, about 700,000 Egyptians continued
to seek livelihoods in Libya, down from an estimated 1 to 2 million before the revolution. Undocumented workers were many among Egyptians migrants to Libya, as well as to Jordan and to Saudi Arabia."
Inward Migration (Immigration): "In 2006 (last available data), according to census figures, 184,070 foreign nationals resided in Egypt, or 0.3% of the total population. They came mainly from Arab (43 percent) and European (32
percent) countries."

Where there is high population, there's the Nile, which is the main source of freshwater for Egypt. In the other areas where there's little no people is the desert, and little to no water.
