It was the capstone to an educational journey that started some time ago. My research focused on transformational leadership and employee commitment.  Along the way, I picked up a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Masters's degree in Counseling Psychology and an MBA. 

My PhD is like a perfect culmination of all the areas of interest important to me.  I am Board Certified Counselor through NBCC, have taught a variety of undergraduate psychology and student success courses and have done extensive grant writing & diversity training.

I left my position from being a community college administrator in December 2017 after more than 20 years at the school. In the interim, I have enjoyed being a stay a home dad and retooling for the next phase in my professional career. It didn't take much for my kids to correct me that my work life balance was different than they saw it, so while I have been adjusting and preparing for the next chapter, I have been enjoying all the time I get to spend with my family.
