I'm wondering why the woman is flying through the air as she carry's a book with the title, "School Book?" Where is she going with that book and why is she holding a long wire that is connected to poles down below? Based on what I see, I can infer that the woman is someone who carries a big role and is special since the men down below seem amazed. Maybe this woman is carrying a special message that needs to be delivered. If getting involved in these types of things would help spread the word to allow women to vote, and overall equality, I wouldn't mind taking those risks. There were many ways these kids lied about their ages. Although, freedom seekers didn't care about these things. The Great Dismal Swamp was still a known destination. Freedom seekers chose this rout because it was hard for large groups of people to run after them and capture them. Since the swamp was quite treacherous, white people were often too scared to keep following them into the swamp, allowing them to escape. It was quite often for this to happen, but sometimes specially trained dogs were sent after these slaves if the white people after them were too scared to go further into the swamp. After the war Mexican American war, he was to over confident after all of his successful wins, and he got captured. He feared execution so in hope of saving his life, Antonio Lopez signed an order saying that all the Mexican troops had to surrender.
