Hello classmates,
I am, Loreal Irvine, I like to think of myself as an exceptionally trained emergency room registered nurse whom has demonstrated the ability to forge, lead, and motivate outstanding healthcare teams by providing the most advanced healthcare nursing services to local and outward communities throughout Southeast Texas and the New Orleans area. I was voted nurse of the year in 2016 for Hardin County.  I am currently a graduate student at The University of Texas at Tyler working towards my Masters Degree in Nursing Education to expand my knowledge and provide the most superior, individualized care for every patient.  I previously obtained my Bachelor of Nursing at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2009 and my Associate of Applied Science Degree of Nursing at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas in 2003.  Prior to attending nursing school, I attended Lamar State College Port Arthur and received a certificate as a Surgical Technologists and worked for a local oral surgeon before I decided to apply for nursing school.  As a Registered Nurse, I have worked in array of nursing areas.  My career first began at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur in 2002 where I worked in the emergency room, endoscopy, day surgery, and the post anesthesia recovery room.  Later in my career, I worked in the New Orleans area as an endoscopy nurse and returned back to CHRISTUS in 2011 and began working in two freestanding emergency rooms in our local area a few years later.  As an emergency room registered nurse employed in a diversified, yet demanding emergency room environment, I have now emerged myself at Beaumont Emergency Center for the past 4 years, where I have been able to provide further innovated patient care and spend more superior time at the bedside. I am a wife and mother of six children.  I love to draw, paint, travel, and scuba dive while outside of my working environment.  Most importantly, I enjoy being a role model and mentor for children in addition to volunteering within my community and school district.
