Skyler’s visual development is outstanding and exceeds expectations for her age. She is able to sort and classify objects accurately according to size, colour and shape and can confidently arrange items in order from smallest to largest. Skyler shows a keen eye for detail and enjoys challenging herself with puzzles, successfully completing those with up to 63 pieces and now working towards more advanced 80+ piece puzzles. She demonstrates strong visual discrimination skills, completing symmetry and “odd one out” activities with understanding and confidence. Auditory Development:

She is able to follow and execute three-part instructions with ease and shows good auditory closure skills. She listens attentively during discussions, understands what is being shared and confidently contributes her own ideas, thoughts and relevant personal experiences.

Skyler has shown confident and well-coordinated gross motor development, meeting expectations in all physical and ball-related activities. She demonstrates excellent control and body coordination, easily crossing her midline by touching her left hand to her right foot and vice versa. Skyler moves with confidence and rhythm, able to hop, jump, skip and gallop with ease. Her balance and core strength are well developed, allowing her to maintain stability and hop on either foot for more than ten counts. She participates enthusiastically in all physical activities and displays growing strength, agility and endurance.

Skyler is developing steadily in her phonetic awareness and continues to build confidence in identifying letter sounds. She enjoys participating in morning ring and can recite the phonetic alphabet with support. While she is still working on identifying sounds when asked randomly, she is beginning to recognise some beginning sounds in CVC words and is showing progress in distinguishing vowel sounds with guidance. Skyler demonstrates a good understanding of letter formations and takes pride in her written work. Skyler has a strong grasp of number concepts and can accurately identify and count the correct number of cubes when asked. She knows all number formations and demonstrates excellent counting skills, counting fluently from 0 to 100 using a counter sheet or abacus and counting backwards from 20 with ease.
