I would like to have a small group or whole class reflect on a fairytale of folktale in my class and identify the traits of the character as well as the main events of the story. I will write their ideas and we will choral read them together. </p><p><br/></p><p>To support me with this, I would love to collaborate with my team and chat together about different opportunities that we have to practice shared writing in different subjects. </p><p><br/></p><p>I believe that this makes sense for AIS-R because it is supporting our kiddos in both reading and writing, taking time to talk about the sentence structure and literacy knowledge. </p>]]></description>

Although I did not get a chance to watch it, after listening to Shama's explanation, and watching Angelica's and Meagan's shared writing, I am inspired to try it out in my class. I would like to think of how I could use it in my 1st grade class and probably need some help planning to make it purposeful.          <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>Attending the workshop with Kalley was a valuable experience. Watching other educators in the labsites implement different strategies with small groups provided practical insights into structuring the literacy block effectively. The debrief session that followed was particularly helpful, allowing us to reflect on what worked well and identify areas for improvement.</p><p>One key takeaway for me is the importance of keeping the learning goal at the center of each literacy lesson—whether it focuses on text reading fluency, word knowledge, composition, or writing. This intentional approach will help ensure that students receive targeted and meaningful instruction.</p><p>I look forward to applying these strategies in my own classroom and continuing to refine my practice.</p>]]></description>
