1) Increase participation in Parent University by 15% across the district with targeted outreach to parents of the unduplicated pupils, parents of African American and Latino students and parents of students with exceptional needs

2) 70% of sites will move from Emerging to Progressing on all standards on the HUSD Parent Engagement Rubric

Parent University offers a series of classes and community events designed to support families in the creation of new learning possibilities in their children’s lives.  In the 2016-17 school year Parent University expanded the number of courses offered as well as the number of sessions for each course.   Attendance information by class is available below in table 1.

Additionally, the HUSD Parent Survey was created and piloted this year to allow parents to provide feedback on how the district and their school sites can better support them and their children.  Parent surveys are still being collected and overall results will be shared at the end of the 2016-17 school year on the HUSD website.
