• This book was made from the diary of a girl named Anne Frank. 
• Her father gave her the diary for her thirteenth birthday.
• She wrote in her diary while she was hiding from the Nazis for two years with her family. 
• In the book/diary she wrote about her days in hiding, what she felt, saw, experienced, etc.. 
• She was found by the Nazis and was sent to a concentration camp, the book was lost.
• Her father was the only one to survive the concentration camp he was sent to and he found her diary.
• He published it in 1947.
