         <description><![CDATA[<div>If you know the x-intercepts of a quadratic, then you can find the axis of symmetry by finding the midpoint (or average) of the x-intercepts. The axis of symmetry is the x-coordinate of the vertex, so all you need to find is the y-coordinate by using the equation.</div>]]></description>
