The Roman Republic became the Roman Empire in 27 BCE when Julius Caesar’s adopted son, best known as Augustus, became the ruler of Rome. Augustus established an autocratic form of government, where he was the sole ruler and made all important decisions. Although we refer to him as Rome’s first emperor, Augustus never took the title of king or emperor, nor did his successors; they preferred to call themselves princeps, first citizen, or primus inter pares, first among peers. This choice of title maintained the appearance of limited power that had been so important under the Republic. With its capital founded at Constantinople by Constantine I (r. 306-337 CE), the Empire varied in size over the centuries, at one time or another, possessing territories located in Italy, Greece, the Balkans, Levant, Asia Minor, and North Africa.
https://www.ancient.eu/Byzantine_Empire/ (Jacobo)
The Byzantine Empire was a vast and powerful civilization with origins that can be traced to 330 A.D., when the Roman emperor Constantine I dedicated a “New Rome” on the site of the ancient Greek colony of Byzantium. Though the western half of the Roman Empire crumbled and fell in 476 A.D., the eastern half survived for 1,000 more years, spawning a rich tradition of art, literature and learning and serving as a military buffer between Europe and Asia. The Byzantine Empire finally fell in 1453, after an Ottoman army stormed Constantinople during the reign of Constantine XI.
(Mora) https://www.history.com/topics/ancient-middle-east/byzantine-empire

Byzantine Empire, the eastern half of the Roman Empire, which survived for a thousand years after the western half had crumbled into various feudal kingdoms and which finally fell to Ottoman Turkish onslaughts in 1453 https://www.britannica.com/place/Byzantine-Empire (Millan)

The history of the Byzantium Empire is based on Byzantine and non-Byzantine sources. It is also the world’s most populous continent, with roughly 60 percent of the total population.
Asia makes up the eastern portion of the Eurasian supercontinent; Europe occupies the western portion. The border between the two continents is debated. However, most geographers define Asia’s western border as an indirect line that follows the Ural Mountains, the Caucasus Mountains, and the Caspian and Black Seas. Asia is bordered by the Arctic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.
Juan Jose Diaz
https://www.nationalgeographic.org/encyclopedia/asia/#:~:text=Asia%20is%20bordered%20by%20the%20Arctic%2C%20Pacific%2C%20and%20Indian%20Oceans.&text=Asia%20can%20be%20divided%20into,freshwater%20environments%3B%20and%20saltwater%20environments.+
Asía geography is divide in 5 regions: mountain system, plateaus, plains, steppes and desert, fresh water environments and salt water an environments.
