So, what benefit can I get from studying Dalcroze Eurhythmics as an animation student? Undoubtedly, I can gain a deeper comprehension of animation drawing and know more possibility and potential of body movement by doing rotoscoping animation based on dancing references. Despite these, I can also improve my creativity using the concept of Dalcroze Eurhythmics. In her essay, Juntunen discusses the meaning of Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Although most people think that Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a teaching method, she describes it as a direction of musical growth, a philosophy. I agree with one of her views that art creation has no set guidelines, and that every creator has their own unique style, experience, thoughts, aesthetics, and logic. Following a studying rule restrains the art diversity. Performing in front of camera myself is a valuable way to understand how human body moves and express the personality and emotions of characters in animation.

It is often said that reading a book enables one to experience a different life. This is the power of storytelling. Readers can immerse themselves in a story, experiencing the emotions and thoughts conveyed through the descriptions. In other words, a story records and transfers the spirit of its writers, with the potential to affect or change readers' actions, feelings, attitudes, or even future lives. For example, I read a book many years ago and particularly enjoyed a dialog of thought. To this day, I can vividly recall that thought and apply that idea to relevant works. 

So, why story matters? 

Obviously, stories have played an important role in transmission throughout human history. Ancestors chronicled events in order to impart their histories to descendants. Great authors documented their thoughts and beliefs in books; talented musicians used their compositions to recount fancy tales; excellent directors provide wonderful enjoyment for audience to know events or person through telling stories visually.

As an animation student, it is essential to recognize that however visual art is significant, a good story can elevate an animation into a great artwork. Thus, content and expression of story should be carefully considered before actual production.
