I created a presentation on Australia's involvement in World War I to present to students in 4 ESO. I explained why Australia was involved in the war, where they fought and the story of Simpson and his Donkey (An Australian wartime hero)

'La Carrera' was a half-day spent at the local sports field where the students participated in a race around the track in their year groups, followed by organised sporting activities. It was a really fun day and I loved to see everyone get involved, I tried some archery which was very fun.

I taught grade 3 and 4 some iconic Australian Physical Education games. We started with 'Bullrun/Bullrush' to get them warmed up, and then into 'Benchball' which they all seemed to enjoy, there was lots of competitive spirit.

I showed this presentation to 1° ESO and taught them all about the Australian climate, plants and wildlife. They are learning about the biological kingdoms, and Australia has a very diverse natural environment.

3° and 4° have been playing a game called Colpbol. I explained to them the rules in English and the origins of the game. It is a game that was started in Valencia in 1977, it is similar to football, but you must hit the ball with your hands. They thoroughly enjoyed it, and i also got to join in with the smaller classes.

Before delving into my presentation on Australia's involvement in WWI, the students of 4° worked through this worksheet, as well as colouring in the different European colonies.

Andalusia Day

On the 26th of February, we celebrated Andalusia day at school. The band played a traditional Andalusian marcha and pasadoble. We also saw a beautiful performance of the Sevillana! After this, some students explained the significance of Andalusia day. Then each year group played a game of football, which was so much fun to watch, I even got to join in.

The students of 1° and 2° are learning about the music surrounding Carnival, so they answered these questions in english. the final question was a revision activity where they listened to different audios and identified the types of signing.

With 4° Eso, we watched a video on Nazi Germany and the students had to answer some comprehension questions that I had written that relate to the video.

In PE class with 3A, we did some activities that involved flexibility. For example, one task was the students had to try and move their cone from one side of their bodies to another with only their feet.

4° ESO had to match the english terms with their spanish translations and definitions in pairs. They are learning about the interwar period, so the words related to this topic.

This activity of Cause or Effect saw the students of 4° needing to identify whether each statement was a cause or effect of World War II. They did so well with this activity.

Each group presented their 'Garage Door' projects to me in English with a Powerpoint presentation. They had been constructing this project for the whole trimester and it was great to see them finally finish and present it to me.
