I learned how models like MTSS and PBIS account for every student and their individual needs. Not every student is going to be the same, they all have different backgrounds and past experiences who made them who they are. Acknowledging that and having systems in place to adjust for their individual needs is great. I am glad that these resources are so easily accessible to teachers so we can look at them whenever we need.

Using the incentive to compare students with one another or to bring them down defeats the purpose of the incentive.

Rules are made to be broken. To help maintain good behavior from all students, clear expectations should be kept in the classroom and often repeated. Teachers need to hold students to these expectations. A lack of consistency in disciplining misbehavior breaks trust between teacher and student, therefore increasing the risk for misbehavior.
