Except this time, it was the head coach, Dan McDonnell. I had to talk about how I liked the camp and how I did very well and some things that I could use some work on. We had talked for nearly an hour on this sort of thing and then it was time to talk about scholarships. He offered me a good amount of money and then we ended the conversation. Me and my family were very happy with this offer and called him back later that night to accept it. It was one of my most happy and unbelievable experiences ever. For the next week I could not believe it. I really enjoyed the camp and I think that it was very beneficial for me. I had a call with the assistant coach the day after the camp and he congratulated me and told me that I impacted a lot of people with how well I played and just my personality overall. That was exactly my goal and it is what he told me before the camp as well. He told me that they will be looking at how well I perform and how much people like me as a person as well. I think that playing in front of people makes me feel the need to be the best I can be. Once I got to Louisville I went to one of the school's football games. They were playing against Pittsburgh and while I was watching the game the coach of the baseball team came up to me and my dad at our seats. We then talked for a few minutes and he went on his way. I was warming up in the bullpen and saw a college coach watching me. I wasn’t sure at the time of who or what college it was. But I did notice that the coach had a red cardinal looking bird on his polo shirt. I was thinking in my head, “Who could this be?” It turned out to be Louisville and I had a call later that night with him. He told me that he wanted to meet me and get to know me more. This is when he invited me to a camp at the college and I am going to the school this weekend. I am really excited and cannot wait to meet all of the players and coaches.
