Recently, students in my class have really started acting up. Whenever I try to discipline one of these students he simply rolls his eyes at me. I made him aware that I noticed the eye rolling and that this behavior upset me. However, he continues to do it. Notes have been sent home and his mother constantly states how sorry she is. I feel like I give students plenty of warning such as not to sit by someone that they know is going to get in trouble. There is also a huge problem with students talking back. Students always seem to try to get the last word in, and that is very frustrating from a teacher's point. I decided that it was time to move students' seats because the classroom just all around needed a new feel. Since I love to see students collaborating with one another I arranged the room in a horseshoe shape. This way, I am able to monitor students work more closely and they are able to work with one another in order to enhance their learning.
