Pre-cooked food has not been the most consumed during confinement. In fact, the percentage of people who cook at home has increased. 62.5% of the study participants already cooked at home on a regular basis, and continued to do so during confinement. But also, 14.1% joined this group and started cooking at home, although before the pandemic they did not do it regularly

Differences between men and women

Changes in diet are different if we look at sex. According to the research, men more than women report consuming less beef during confinement, other meats and canned fish. They also reduce the consumption of cookies, sweets and pastries more, while a higher proportion of women say they consume more of these sweet foods during confinement. The Spanish society of community nutrition (senc) says that the situation arising from the covid-19 pandemic may constitute a moment of reflection that will reverse the trend that in recent decades has taken us away from the Mediterranean diet and healthy eating. In this way we could return to "a food culture based on the products of local agriculture, of proximity, with a gastronomy that was part of the culture of the social and human environment", as the research says. Food is, along with the practice of act

The pandemic is changing us. On the one hand, it has forced us to consciously change habits that we had well established, with the brain impact that comes with it. On the other hand, it may have changed our beliefs about the world, altering our approach to reality. Far from alarming, we should be optimistic about these changes: there is nothing impossible for our mind-brain system.
The pandemic is an opportunity to find targets, which should in principle be easy to achieve, and which will soon become means to more complex targets. Thus, almost without realizing it, we will have acquired good habits that will help us grow as human beings. In the same way, experiences can convince us that, over and above opposing ideologies, there are beliefs that should emerge strengthened from this crisis: respect for others and care for the weakest and most defenceless.
