ELLs Belong To All of Us-
Seeing the teachers collaborate around lesson planning a Science concept was inspiring. The concept of pre-teaching the vocabulary and connecting it to their prior knowledge of a 'straw' was great and as they said, can benefit not only the ELLs but the whole class as well. Also discussing the prior grade's instruction was a perfect example of vertical planning and helps a lot when figuring out students' prior knowledge.
