De lo más importante que leí en este primer capítulo es que el cerebro está constantemente absorbiendo todo lo que sucede en su entorno y que los primeros años de vida del niño constituyen la etapa más extraordinaria de crecimiento y desarrollo.

Otro punto importante es que el entorno, como la familia, maestros y la comunidad son la base que le ayuda al niño a construir su identidad .

También es importante que un niño que aprende más de un idioma obtiene el beneficio de un nivel más avanzado de pensamiento y habilidades de razonamiento, además mejoran la capacidad de la resolución de problemas .

1 -como idea principal para mi es que desde el nacimiento hasta los 3 anios se forjan las bases para un buen desarrollo fisico y congnitivo en un ninio y que la familia y los primeros educadores seran los mas importantes para lograr una buena base.

2 - el ninio aprende atraves del juego y la exploracion y que aprenden de forma practica atraves de su entorno y para lograr un buen aprendiozaje deben de estar sanos, seguros y bien alimentados

3- como educadores de primera infancia debemos de brindarles un entorno seguro, con los materiales que les estimulen y que les brinden la oportunidad de experimentar y aprender.

lo que me parece muy interesante es la facilidad con que los ninos aprenden un nuevo idioma que no es el que se habla en casa, tengo como ejemplo los ninios que estan a mi cuido su primer idioma es el ingles los cuido desde sus primeros meses ahora hablan espaniol. Lei tambien que a futuro tendran el beneficio de nivel mas avanzado de pensamiento, habilidades de razonamiento y solucion de problemas.

What stood out to me from the reading was how children can learn more then one language at a time and it doesn’t effect their speak. I thought that was super neat as I always thought teaching multiple languages at a time would be confusing or make it difficult to retain the information. I also found it interesting how children who are learning more then one language have a “silent period” which may come off as learning more slowly but in fact they are absorbing the sounds and learning the words for the new language which to me was fascinating to read. I think it’s super cool how children’s brain are like sponges absorbing all this information at such a little age.

Some things I found interesting in the reading where how on page 9 it states, "Asking your child "What else could you do? What would be the best?" In a nonjudgmental and interested tone." And I really liked it because of the key words it used like interested and nonjudgmental. Another thing I liked was how on page 9 it also states, "Does your environment create a sense of being?" I liked that question because it really makes you think about how children who don't feel like they belong grow up vs how children who always felt that sense of belonging did.

One thing that stood out to me about the reading was how it explained how children learn in the same way a child builds a tower of blocks. Building a good, demonstrative structure for kids' learning will benefit their future. Also, another thing that stood out to me was how learning more than one language as a child can help them later in life and how it is easier for them to learn a new language or dialect at a young age in comparison as they get older. However, learning more than one language or dialect does not impede speech.
