         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sojourner Truth (1797–1897) was born into slavery. She&nbsp; escaped to freedom and became one of the most noted African-American women speakers on issues of civil rights and abolition; Being deeply religious and felt a calling from God to travel America speaking on slavery and other contemporary issues, Sojourner proved to many that women have equal rights. His career and high profile, coincided with a rapid growth in the popularity of NBA basketball, and his personal achievements are considered a major factor in boosting the popularity of basketball. In his childhood MJ never made the football team, but he never gave up on his dreams. He showed to everyone that you shouldn't give up on your dreams, and that you should keep going, even if it is proved impossible.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nelson Mandela (1918 – 2013) was a South African political activist who spent over 20 years in prison for his opposition to the apartheid regime; he was released in 1990. In 1994, Mandela was later elected the first leader of a democratic South Africa. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (jointly with F.W. de Klerk) in 1993 for his work in helping to end racial segregation in South Africa.
