The inner ear also help with balance.There are three major types of hearing loss. The first one is conductive hearing loss, it involves the outer and middle ear not working, next is censoring hearing loss which deals with the inner ear not working, and finally mixed hearing loss which is a combination of the both. Genetics play a major role in an individuals developing deafness or a hearing impairment. Deaf students should be included in the regular classroom as much as possible. Many accommodations can be made in the classroom for them. However, it is the teacher's responsibility to make sure the student's IEP is followed. The child's family plays a major role in creating their IEP (Individual Learning Plan). If the child uses sign language, the teacher and fellow students can learn the basics of sign language and it will help students to feel included. There are also techniques teacher can use to help deaf students learn in the classroom, some examples of these are implementing picture, graphs, and charts to include all learners.
