Emphasis: The difference in the texture, color, brightness of the flower at the center and the leaves in the back strongly emphasizes the flower, making the audience focus on that part. Also, a large portion of the background is blurred, giving more emphasis to the flower.

Pattern: The repetition of leaves that all have similar shapes and colors in the background, makes a pattern and helps the disturbing of the pattern—the yellow flower in this case—be more obvious and stand out.

Contrast: The distance from the camera, the colors, the texture, the amount of light it receives are verry different between the flower and the leaves. This makes sure the photo feels more diverse and less monotonous so the audience does not feel bored looking at this picture.
