This book is about a jewish family who has to migrate and suffers a lot during the second world war. I relate it to OMAM because both stories talk about racism and loneliness. "Counting stars" is about loneliness because the main chracter goes through a lot  having to be brave even though she is very young.     • This describes how Crooks feels lonely by knowing no one listens him or cares about what he is saying.
    • "... You got george. you know he is goin' to back... A guy needs somebody-to be near him." He whined, "A guy goes nuts if he ain't got nobody... I tell ya a guy gets too lonely an' he gets sick." (72)

    This is Crooks describing how he feels being so alone. How he is tired of being alone. He also agrees with George by saying a guy goes nuts is he doesn't have nobody.
