I think that the feudal system is pretty unfair, definitely towards the serfs. But i think it's unfair to maintain order. Yes, it was unfair that serfs have to work so much, however serfs act as the base of the economy since they provide the nobles with crops and goods for the higher ups. Without them, everything would fall and the kingdom would be in a lack of resources. This would lead the kingdom in a vulnerable position from outside invaders such as the barbarians.

We know that the nobles, the King and the Church had a lot of money by the amount of churches, castles and manors from medieval times that still exist today. To build these places, a lot of land was needed, and more land meant higher status in the feudal system. We can also tell by looking at the churches, castles and manors. They were opulent and made with high quality, expensive materials (e.g. marble), which means that the royalty, nobility and church had to have a lot of money.

I do not think the feudal system is fair. It is obvious that the nobles, King and Church are the ones who benefit from the system, as they gain a lot of money (through taxes) from the serfs. The serfs are the people who work the most and are the 'base' of the kingdom. Without them, the kingdom wouldn't function properly as basic services and food wouldn't be provided. However, they are the people who end up with the least amount of money.

We know that the nobles and the church had a lot of money because of the amount of things they owned, as well as the quality. Since the buildings that they owned were often very big and boasting, it would have required lots of land and materials to actually make. Since more land meant a higher position in the feudal system, we can assume that the nobles were quite rich. Another factor was the quality of the items and clothes they wore. They were made from high quality materials, which were accordingly expensive. This meant that to afford such luxuries, the nobles, the royals and the church had to own a lot of money.

Their wealth was also proven by their living conditions and lifestyle. It was unfair how just because you were born in a certain family decided what you future would look like, living in a life or luxury or slaving away on fields for barely anything. I really don't understand how anybody thought it fair since the only class benefiting off it were the royals. The peasants were the ones who kept it standing, they were the ones doing all of the necessary work, all for what - the benefit of the royals. The royals, nobles and the church would also gain a lot of money through the taxes paid by the peasants. It really just isn't fair that the peasants would work really hard and then have to use that hard earnt money to pay off their taxes to the royals.

I am not too sure where they will go to eat but it says on google that they would often eat pork if they don't grow any crops. This is because these pigs were free from the forest and they often find their own food to eat which was also healthy.

If the peasants crop failed, I'm not sure where they would get the money to buy food or even seeds to plant a new crop. I'm sure back then they didn't have any 'Job Seeker Payment' available for people struggling with money issues. I would think they would just have to starve or steal from somebody else's crop in order to survive long term. But they could just go hunting for animals, it really would depend if they had the necessary materials and weapons.

I wouldn't have felt very pleased if I were a peasant. Despite working very hard each day, they only earned a little amount of money, and even had to pay taxes to their lords. I would've felt worthless compared to people higher up in the feudal system.

We know that the royalty and nobility had a lot of money because of the churches, castles and manors built back then that still exist today. These required a lot of land and money to build, having more land meant having a higher status in the feudal system, and the buildings were of high quality. This shows that the King, nobles and Church were able to afford to build these.

I believe that this system is not fair. Even though the serfs worked the most and hardest, they earned little money, meaning that they were not able to afford the luxuries that the nobles and royalty had. The feudal system would've fallen apart if the serfs weren't there - they provided the entire kingdom with many things such as food, and yet they were still considered lowlifes and were treated badly.
