Nonverbal movements may be used to indicate your desire to control the flow of verbal messages. Throughout the job interview I can do this by leaning in before I speak so it indicates that I am about to speak.

Repeat

Repeating or restate the verbal message nonverbally. For example through my interview I can follow a statement like "Really?" with a furrowed brows.

Substitute

Use nonverbal communication to substitute for verbal messages. During my interview I can incorporate this by instead of saying yes I can non my head for an indication that I understand.
