Validity

• Refers to whether the assessment measures what it is supposed to measure.

• Example: If you want to measure teamwork, a group activity is more valid than a written test.

Reliability

• Refers to consistency in assessment results.

• If two teachers give very different grades for the same performance, the assessment is not reliable.
