(I.E, ACs v LIDCs)

In some LIDCs emigration is encouraged so they can receive remittances to help develop the country economy and to gain skills and ideas from migrants returning.
However in politically unstable countries they may not be as keen for the migration of woman as they have a lesser status.

In ACs they encourage skilled immigrants, especially in the Schengen zone in the EU where there is free movement of people. An example of this is Greek doctors moving to Germany after the economic crisis in their country of origin. Different political parties have different views on immigration and there are still a lot of negative stereotypes associated with immigrants.
