How does he have the courage to even deliver the newspapers because it's one thing to just own, but to deliver them is a whole nother thing. At the soccer game Aksel was such a jerk just because Espen was in candyland. You know what they might be thinking about. Maybe it is more important  than some stupid soccer game. In this case it was. Espen was thinking about his family and if he were doing the right thing. Also my favorite part in the book so far is when Espen is told to go get the soccer ball and the jellyfish got poison all over it and when Aksel told Espen to throw  the ball back, Espen did and the ball stung Aksel witch was pretty funny. When that happend I wrote "Take that you dumb bully!" Another one of my favorite parts was when they started building the hideout. Espen always has so much grit to keep on moving. Aksel says he doing everything for his mom to have more, but by joining the Nazis he is destroying every relationship she has ever made. He is thinking that he is making so many sacrifices for he, while she has done everything for him. One of the big surprises about this book, is that Ingrid is fighting against the Nazis in her own way. When I read that she stole extra ration cards, I was very confused because I had no idea what she was doing. I believe that the best part about this book is the way they are choosing to fight back. Espen is delivering special packages and Ingrid is feeding the starved people in the work camps. I predict that Espen and Ingrid are going to join forces and get a bunch of her friends to join the resistance. I still think that the story line of this book is a little dull, I know that everything they are doing is making a huge difference in the story, but I still believe there would be more action as you are fighting Nazis, but what do I know. I believe that Espen is seriously in love with Solveig. For example when the officer came into Espen's house it was very freighting for Espen. One thing that comes up a lot in the book is how Espen's heart beats very quickly and very loudly. When ever Espen is nervous he thinks to himself about how fast is heart is beating. one thing that I am confused about is how Solveig's family just lets espen into their house. I know that Espen was not a stranger to her but what if Espen was secretly working for the Gestapo. Solveig should have been more careful especially during those times. I think that was very disturbing when Askel shot Stein in the chest. That was very crazy and changed the entire book completely. Askel shouldn't have killed him. He should have  just stopped him from closing the door. Aksel keeps getting worse and worse as a character in this book. I wonder if Aksel is going to tell his mom that he killed someone.
