Slater went to Pawtucket and improved a mill there and that was the first Slater Mill and it was a success.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Samuel F. B. Morse got a patent for a telegraph which sent signals that were electric through a wire. Samuel also designed a code which is now known as Morse code like dots and dashes so that messages could be sent through with the telegraph.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Lowell Girls were young women who were sent to the Lowell Mills to work in the factories. Parents were hesitant to send their daughters to work which is why they build boarding houses to give the women food, a place to live, and safety.</p>]]></description>
