How has anti-immigration ideology negatively impacted the communities of undocumented migrants?

Knowledge is power.

One of the main issues is misconceptions. Many have anti-immigration opinions. While everyone can base their views, I fully believe someone should dig in deeper before setting their opinions, especially when it's quite harmful.

I know it can be quite easy to form an opinion by a single headline, news anchor, or social media post, but doing so is dangerous. If we don't look at the bigger picture, why should we automatically jump to conclusions?

I know I would be disappointed if someone based an opinion about my character without getting to know me. I hope that during my speech, I can give those with set anti-immigration opinions a different perspective. I don't mean to force a change of opinion, but at least clear some common misconceptions or stereotypes they hold.

Ideally, this story is about my community's reaction to the 2016 presidential election. Watching educators explain what it all meant to elementary students.
