Trash. I am an absolute trash violist compared to Kelly Bartek. Kelly Bartek is a violist who attends UNT as a student. Overall it was a good experience, I really love and appreciate the viola. I do wish there had been more announcements such as, what piece was next, and also, that the performer really get into the music. Regardless, she played wonderfully, confidently, and did justice to the pieces. Kelly performed a Suite in C Major for cello solo by Bach, Suite Hébraïque by Bloch, and an untitled piece by Clarke in the Recital Hall at the University of North Texas.  I also really enjoyed that she played a cello solo with a viola, very cool! Kelly performed the Suite in C Major for cello solo by Bach first. This piece was very light, upbeat, and very repetitive. The whole piece kind of swayed, similar to the way it feels to dance in a waltz. Second, was Suite Hébraïque by Bloch. This song had a piano accompaniment by Chenshayang Huang. I truly loved this piece, it had a dark and sinister sound to it. It could be appropriately placed in a dramatic villain movie. Third, was the untitled piece by Clarke. This song also had a piano accompaniment by Huang. This piece was the slowest of the three.
