Apple 1 Hotel is a property under Pen Union Sdn Bhd. Ms. Afeeqa brief me about my job scope.  My job within this period are to manage customer check in and out at the hotel, answering customer call, checking email daily and full fill customer needs. 
I was introduced to the system used by the hotel which is Easy Hotel Management System. This system is use to manage all the bookings and to view the capacity of room. I also need to remember the type of room that provided by the hotel which are super budget, super single, superior room with window and without window, standard room and business suite. There are total 56 rooms.
Ms. Afeeqa tell me that it is important to greet and welcome the customer with smile face. This will be able to give good impression to the customer and let them feel that they are our important guest

Today, I learn how to use the hotel system. From the system, I am able to view all the bookings and the capacity of room. I need to record the room number that are going to check out and check in of the day and make sure it is tally with the record in the system.
When doing the check out procedure for the customer, I need to contact the housekeeper to check the room only i can return the deposit to the customer which is RM 50 per room.
I had also answer phone call from customer which the customer Mr. Tan wish to reserve a super single room on 10th Sept 2018. I have to check through the system whether there is room available during the date before doing reservation for Mr. Tan. Luckily, there is room available on the date. Next, I need to note down customer name, phone number and how many days the customer will like to stay. After that, I will record it into the system

Today, I learn how to use the credit card machine and able to serve the customer which is using credit card for payment. But for the room deposit, customer need to pay by cash which is RM50 and will be returned to the customer during check out. 
My job daily is to confirm the check in and check out of customer everyday and make sure customer check out on time. Otherwise, the customer need to pay RM10 per hour after the check out time if the customer did not inform us.
Before 1 hour of check out time, I have to collect contact number from room that not check out and send notice message.
After the customer check out, I need to give the room key to the housekeeper for cleaning room which is 3 room per time.

Beside that, one of my task is to check the quantity of minibar items correctly.
Today, Ms. Afeeqa tell me to restock the minibar because some of the products are left only few quantity and I bring out the items to replenish the minibar. For example, canned drinks, cup noodles and the snacks.

Moreover, I need to check the today arrival from the online travel agent. I need to check the room arrival accordingly from the booking voucher. I need to make sure reserve room is correct to the online travel agent voucher.
I need to check the done cleaning room for ready to check in. Today is a busy day as it is a super peak season which tomorrow is our national day. There are a lot of room check in today as I need fully attention.

If the guest wish to use the iron in their room, they can get it from us and return to it after using. There is a guest who borrow iron from the front desk and I note down her room number and make sure she return it. 
There is also water dispenser provided by the company for the guest and each floor have one of it.
