Teaching Internship

I couldn’t settle on just one picture because no single photo could truly capture the immense love I have for this kindergarten class. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with these amazing kids. When I first began the teaching pathway in high school, I was uncertain if teaching was the right path for me. But after joining Mrs. Solares’ class, I quickly realized not only that I want to teach, but that I need to.

This experience has been nothing short of life-changing. I’m deeply thankful for everything I’ve learned during my internship and for the relationships I’ve built along the way. Each and every one of these children holds a special place in my heart, as they’ve played a huge role in helping me fall in love with teaching.

I’m from Wylie, Texas, and I attended Wylie East High School, where I had the privilege of meeting incredible people who have made a lasting impact on my life. I’m currently majoring in Elementary Education and pursuing a master’s in Psychology.

My goal is to start my career by teaching kindergarten for a few years before eventually transitioning into becoming a school psychologist. I’m passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and eager to continue learning and growing in the field of education.

Future classroom

I designed my classroom to be a welcoming, comfortable space for students. It includes floor seating for independent work, a calm-down corner, and a student help area near my desk for one-on-one support. The room features five large tables seating four students each to encourage collaboration, along with bright colors and flowers to create a cheerful atmosphere.

Key elements, like the calm-down corner and help desk, focus on meeting students’ emotional and academic needs. However the heart of my classroom will be relationships I will strive to build a sense of family where every student feels supported and at home.
