Something I did in my free time growing up was dance! I started dance when I was just two years old all the way up until the end of high school. I enjoyed learning new tricks, dancing with all of my friends, and performing on big stages. In high school, I joined our drill team. Because of the hard work and dedication I put into because a better dancer and leader, I was named a lieutenant for my junior and senior years. Although the team could be stressful at times, getting to do the thing I loved most with my friends made it all worth it. I truly believe that the people you surround yourself with are who you turn into. I have six wonderful best friends back home who have supported me all throughout my high school years and helped prepare me for what qualities I wanted in friends when I got to college. When I got to college, I found amazing friends who helped pushed me to be the person I wanted to be while still allowing room for mistakes. My family is everything to me. I know they are always people I can rely on with anything and everything. My family consists of my mom, my dad, my stepdad, my brother, and my stepsister (who also goes to the U of A). I have a total of 3 cats and a dog back home! I have two cats at my mom's house, Fitz and Poe. Both of them were adopted and renamed after famous authors. They love to cuddle with me and with each other. My cat at my dad's house is more reserved, although just as cute. Her name is Patches, and we rescued her from a farm. My last animal is my dog named Halo. We got Halo from my aunt and uncle after their dog got pregnant. Her name was agreed upon by my brother and me because I wanted to name her after an angel, and my brother loved a video game also named Halo. Over these past few months, I have had the privilege of being chosen as a Gamma Chi for this upcoming Panhellenic Recruitment. This means I will have a group of Potential New Members and be their mentor throughout the entire experience.
