This campaign is taking place in the South Bronx, New York. It is impacting their ecosystem in a negative way making it part of environmental justice issues. The “bidding war” is against the Bronx and New Jersey. 

Fresh direct has shown to be harmful for nature and the earth in general. The impacts start small, such as noise pollution which can be annoying from time to time, but then starts to form into larger problems that build up more and more that, for instance, can lead to climate change. This is important for others to take notice of, and not just from the people who suffer from the effects first hand. 

Another reason why I chose this topic is because my family ordered from Fresh direct in the past but I never knew that people would start a whole debate and campaign over it. And I didn’t know that it was influencing the environment in a negative way. To sum it up, I chose this case to review because it deserves recognition and because I wanted to understand why “innocent” fresh direct is so bad.
