We used Pascal's Triangle in Honors Algebra II and above when I was in the classroom. The numbers in the triangle are actually the coefficients of your polynomial when you are multiplying a binomial like (x+y)^z.

I have not yet engaged my students in an activity like the triangle. A challenge I face is keeping up with the pacing guide. It is difficult to incorporate activities such as this in class. I know they are using critical thinking skills and amazing math reasoning, but when we're not multiplying numbers fluently it is difficult to provide a challenge such as this. In the future I'd love to give to early finishers or as a challenge to my kids who have mastered the skill we are trudging through.
